By accessing or using FranchiseLens ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
FranchiseLens is an informational research and screening platform that helps prospective franchise buyers organise and compare publicly available franchise data. Our Service:
- Extracts and organises data from public Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs)
- Generates personalised screening reports based on user-provided criteria
- Ranks franchise opportunities using algorithmic scoring based on your inputs
- Provides a starting point for independent due diligence
- With your explicit consent, may introduce you to an independent franchise professional
Free Reports and How We Are Funded
Your personalised report is provided free of charge. There is no payment, subscription, or purchase required to receive it.
FranchiseLens may be compensated by independent franchise consultants or franchise companies when, with your explicit consent given at the time you request your report, we introduce you to them. This compensation never affects which brands appear in any report or how they are scored. No franchisor pays to appear in, rank within, or be recommended by any FranchiseLens report.
Introductions to Franchise Professionals
If you consent to an introduction:
- We may share your name, contact details, state, and investment profile with one independent franchise consultant or franchise company relevant to your results
- That professional may contact you by email or telephone
- Any consultant or company we introduce you to is an independent third party — not our employee, agent, or representative. We do not supervise, endorse, or guarantee their advice, services, or conduct
- Any engagement between you and an introduced professional is solely between you and them
Consent is optional. You may decline it and still receive your full report, and you may withdraw it at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.
Informational Use Only
FranchiseLens is an informational product only. Our reports and rankings are:
- Not legal advice: we are not a law firm and do not provide legal counsel
- Not financial or investment advice: we are not registered investment advisers
- Not tax advice: we do not provide tax guidance

User Responsibilities

- Make investment decisions based on your own judgment and professional advice
- Provide accurate information in your assessment responses and contact details
- Use the Service for lawful purposes only
Intellectual Property
All content, design, algorithms, and materials on FranchiseLens are owned by us or our licensors. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our reports without permission
- Reverse engineer our scoring algorithms
- Scrape or systematically download content from our site
- Use our materials for commercial purposes without authorisation
Reports are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- FranchiseLens is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We disclaim all liability for investment decisions made using our Service
- We disclaim all liability for the advice, services, or conduct of any independent professional we introduce you to
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100)
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FranchiseLens, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
